Dr Ansari is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Melbourne. She trained in both pharmacology (PharmD) and in bone cell biology (PhD). She completed her PhD in Medicine, Dentistry & Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne (October 2018). During her PhD, she worked at St Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research (SVI), where she studied the physiological role of osteocytic parathyroid hormone-related protein. She is an expert in studying cell function in vitro and in vivo, using genetically modified models. In March 2019, she joined the Integrative Cartilage Research Group of Dr Kathryn Stok at the University of Melbourne, working on in vivo imaging of cartilage and the whole joint.
